Nigella damascena (Love-in-a-mist)

Back on the floral blog after a long time away and returning to one of my favourite subjects, Love-in-a-mist – Nigella damascena by Jason Swain.

I’ve been working so much lately (mostly on event photography) that it seems like its not very often i get to use the camera ‘just for fun’ anymore, but i made some time last night to play in the garden with William, and we mucked around with the 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and took some floral shots…. just because we liked them.

I collected seeds for these lovely flowers from a roadside verge when i was shooting some of their dried seed-heads a few years ago, i now have a big batch of them and they are fantastic!

Shot using the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens on the 6D camera body.

Exif Data = f/2.8 at 1/250 iso250
