Permission to land – lensbaby muse

With it’s undercarriage at the ready, a bee prepares to land and plunder some pollen from a poppy, captured with a Lensbaby Muse in the summer of 2010 on the Isle of Wight. The DoF and blur really adding an extra dimension to what is otherwise a very common sight. Shot with natural light (the poppy is nicely backlit) at 1/400 of a second, the bees wings still appear to be a blur.
